Terms

• If the fire escapes my control, I will call 911 to have the Anytown fire truck dispatched.
• I understand costs incurred for fighting fires in the Town of Anytown are 100% the responsibility of the landowner – there is no cap or ceiling on the cost and no portion will be absorbed by the Town of Anytown.
• I will be responsible for notifying neighbouring landowners of my intention to burn.

1. If a fire ban is issued all burning permits are immediately cancelled.
2. The land owner is totally responsible for the fire at all times until it is completely extinguished.
3. Every person starting a fire in the Town of Anytown has responsibilities under the The Wildfire Act. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with this legislation.
4. Fire permits automatically expire 14 days from the approval of this permit unless cancelled due to fire ban.
5. If further time is required, you will need to apply for a new permit.
6. Applicable from April 1 to October 31.
